The SimplyfyR Project

The principles connecting Think Denominator’s reproducible epidemiological software, learning and collaboration.

SimplyfyR is a collaborative initiative led by Think Denominator in partnership with Propul Evidence LLP (propulevidence.org). It connects software, learning and practical guidance that make rigorous epidemiological analysis in R easier to learn, apply and reproduce.

SimplyfyR develops accessible workflows built on trusted statistical methods. It reduces repetitive coding while keeping analytical decisions visible, so researchers can focus on understanding their data and interpreting results responsibly.

We simplify the process, not the thinking.

How SimplyfyR Advances Our Mission

Responsible denominator use depends on transparent analytical decisions. SimplyfyR makes epidemiological workflows easier to perform and reproduce without turning them into a black box: researchers can see how populations, comparisons, models and outputs are defined.

What the Project Connects

  1. Software — documented R packages for common epidemiological workflows.
  2. Learning — focused teaching that explains both the method and the code.
  3. Reproducibility — consistent outputs and workflows that can be examined, rerun and adapted.
  4. Collaboration — shared development with researchers, educators and organisations working in different settings.

Development Priorities

  • Maintain dependable, well-documented R packages for common epidemiological workflows.
  • Connect software with practical learning that explains the reasoning behind each analytical choice.
  • Deliver tracked courses and instructor-led workshops only when their materials, completion rules and learner support have been tested.
  • Develop additional interfaces where they make rigorous methods genuinely easier to use without concealing important decisions.

Software

SimplyfyR currently includes work on regression, inferential statistics and meta-analysis workflows. Package descriptions, release status, documentation and citation details are maintained in one place so that information remains current.

Collaborations

SimplyfyR is developed by Think Denominator in collaboration with Propul Evidence LLP and other contributors. We welcome conversations about responsible co-development, testing in different research settings and practical teaching collaborations.
